When he was born, birth, the famous smile of Stallone resulted from a forceps accident. Also, the accident led the loss of a nerve, which left him without speech. Stallone was a troubled child. The actor and his brother Frank, were adversely affected by their parents' violent relationship, which later ended in divorce. Stallone was being placed in foster care for a few during his initial years. Stallone aged 5 years old at the time, relocated with his family to Washington, D.C., where his father started his own chain of beauty salons. Stallone was a resident of Maryland, living alongside his father until 1957 when his parents divorced. Stallone was troubled as a child in both his academic and emotional aspects.
